About The Centre

The Old Dairy Farm is located in the picturesque village of Upper Stowe and has beautiful views over

the Northamptonshire countryside. Full details of how to get here are on the 'How To Find Us' page.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

The Centre is housed in a complex of stone-built farm buildings and is sited around two main courtyards. Some buildings date back to the sixteenth century, many retain part of their original features, all have been restored and updated in a very sympathetic way to help retain the atmosphere and history of the original farm.

The Centre offers our visitors a unique selection of shops, selling a wide variety of products to suit most pockets and tastes. The choice available includes; a wide selection of top brand ladies clothes, lingerie, swimwear and handbags, children's clothes and toys, quality arts and crafts, fresh flowers, basketware, wool & kniting supplies, greetings cards, gifts, gift foods and traditional sweets.

The restaurant and tea room is open daily, offering a wide variety of refreshments.

To complement the shopping and restaurant, the Centre is also home to a selection of working artists and craftspeople, their work includes; basket making, cabinet making, floristry, photography, stone masonry, wood turning and wrought iron work.

We are also home to local accountants Hallett & Associates.

We have a small selection of animals at the centre which are on show to visitors. Whilst they are not being shown as an attraction in their own right, they do add an extra interest especially for our younger visitors. Currently we have four Alpacas, two Kune-Kune pigs, a goat, sheep, cockerels, chickens, ducks, budgies and several friendly cats.

The Centre can offer bed & breakfast accommodation in the main farm house if you are planning to visit us as part of a longer stay in the area.

During the year the Centre holds several special events. We have our lambing weekends in the spring, and we have our famous and unique 'living manger' prior to Christmas. Please check the Special Events page for the current list of activities.

The Centre is open daily 10am to 5pm (4.30pm in January & February), we are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day. Some shop opening hours may vary, please see each individual shop page for up-to-date opening times and contact details.

There is ample free parking, no entrance fee, except for some special events. The Centre is signed from the A5 between Towcester & Weedon, 10 minutes from junction 16 of the M1.

We regret no dogs are allowed on site except guide dogs. There is disabled parking and level access to most areas of the Centre.

The Centre is ideally located for exploring the local countyside and canalside walks, the restaurant being ably stocked to revive even the most hardy of walkers. There are also country houses, museums and interesting local towns and villages within a short drive of the Centre.
